Vive la Différence

Pay attention — the effect of partner’s bid may change when he is a passed hand.

Ready, Willing and Able

In third seat, feel free to open a strong four-card major.

Putting on the Brakes

When you have opened in 3rd or 4th seat and know that game is very unlikely, pass ASAP.

Fit – Showing Jumps

A jump shift by a passed hand promises support for partner’s suit.

Take the Low Road

If you are a passed hand, and partner opens and then rebids 1NT, forget all about 3NT.

Slam Has Passed You By

When partner is a passed hand, forget about slam unless you have a 2 opening.
