Yellow Rose Of Texas - In response to partner's Notrump opening bid, the use of shape-showing bids after a Texas Transfer to investigate the best attainable slam contract (if possible).  Developed by Danny Kleinman, The Yellow Rose of Texas is an extension to the Texas Transfer, where the convention derives its name.  In either method, the traditional use of the Texas Transfer followed by responder's 4N is still Blackwood (RKC or 1430).

After partner's opening 1 or 2 Notrump bid, responder begins the Yellow Rose convention by making a normal Texas Transfer call - 4D or 4H and Opener accepts, bidding 4H or 4S

An extension to Texas is responder's use of 4S as a transfer to 4N.  The general approach shows 3 cards in Responder's second bid suit (after the transfer suit) and 2 cards in Responder's initial transfer "base" suit.  However, if Responder rebids the same suit, then the doubleton is in the non-bid minor suit (Clubs), rather than responder's first bid suit.

Notice from color coding when responder begins with Texas but then bids another suit (except the prior suit):

When Responder rebids the suit after a transfer, responder is showing 3 cards in the bid suit, 4 cards in the transfer suit, with 3 cards in the remaining suit.
